History – Hand-Painting to Large Outdoor Signs

Ken Alvey started his sign business out of the family garage in Evansville, Indiana. Beginning with fabrication and hand-painting of signs for local customers, his desire to satisfy more customers helped him continue to expand the techniques and styles offered.

As Alvey’s customers and regional sales opportunities grew, the company quickly outgrew that garage. Additional sign-maker professionals joined the company, including Ken’s wife, Helen, who continues to be involved and serves as Vice President of Alvey’s Sign Company, Inc.

Today, Alvey’s Signs custom designs, manufactures, and installs virtually any type or size of sign for customers throughout the nation. From sign design to installation and service, we are a true one-source sign company, with the ability to provide every element of your signage needs. As a full-service sign company, Alvey’s Signs guarantees your project will meet the highest quality standards and be delivered on-time and on budget.

The company’s facilities, located on Evansville’s northeast side, have grown to include more than 54,000 square feet of space on seven acres. Our location, with quick access to interstate highways and the Evansville Regional Airport, means Alvey’s Signs can easily and efficiently serve our regional and national customers.
